They’re related but do different jobs.

A **Release Version** is a named/numbered grouping used to track a release — it helps you manage multiple product releases and can be synced from an ALM tool (for example, a version created in Jira). You reach it under Change Management → Release Versions.

A **Release Package** is a collection of one or more user stories that are **validated and deployed together as a single entity**. It’s what actually moves through a release pipeline with its approvals, validations and deployment.

The two connect directly: from a release version’s Actions menu you can **Create Release Package**, and all the user stories associated with that version are added to the package automatically — which keeps the package aligned with the version and preserves traceability. So the version is how you *track* the release; the package is how you *deploy* it.
